Akron's Kick It First Tournament

Saturday, May 9 & Sunday, May 10, 2026

The Kick It First Tournament is Akron Soccer League's spring kickoff event, bringing together competitive teams for a full weekend of high-energy soccer in Akron, NY. This tournament is designed to set the tone for the season with quality competition, organized play, and a great experience for players, coaches, and fans.

Whether you’re preparing for league play or looking for a competitive early-season challenge, Kick It First is where your season begins.

• Cost:
  • U10: $400
  • U11-U19: $500

 

• Eligibility:

  • Teams must be registered with a State or National organization

  • Players must have a valid USYSA or approved national player pass

  • No Olympic Development, Premier, or All-Star teams or players permitted

 

• Age Group Formats:

  • U10 & below: 7v7 (exhibition only; no scores or standings)

  • U11–U12: 9v9

  • U13–U17: 11v11

 

• Game Length:

  • U10 & below: Two 25-minute halves

  • U11 & up: Two 30-minute halves

 

• Roster Guidelines:

  • Guest players permitted (maximum of 2 per team, 3 guest players permitted for U10 teams)

  • Age-appropriate roster and ball sizes apply

 

• Standings & Advancement:

  • 3 points for a win, 1 point for a tie

  • Tie-breakers applied as needed

  • Playoff and final matches tied at the end of regulation go directly to penalty kicks

 

• Schedule & Weather:

  • Game schedules may change due to weather or unforeseen circumstances

  • No refunds for schedule changes or weather delays

 

• Conduct & Discipline:

  • Coaches are responsible for players, staff, and spectators

  • Referee decisions are final

  • Protests accepted for player eligibility only

  • Red card suspensions apply per tournament rules

 

• Awards:

  • Championship trophies awarded to U11–U17 division winners

  • Medals for all U10 participants
