Akron Soccer Adjusts House League Game Times for Improved Experience

In an effort to enhance the overall experience for players, coaches, and referees, Akron Soccer has announced a change to the game times for its House League. The decision comes after a series of observations and feedback highlighting the challenges referees and coaches face rushing between consecutive games.

Previously, the scheduling allowed little time for referees to transition from one match to the next, often leading to delays and hurried starts. Coaches found themselves in similar situations, trying to manage their team preparations while coordinating with the ref’s availability. This resulted in a less organized and sometimes stressful atmosphere on game days, which is not the ideal environment for young athletes to compete and develop their skills.

U5-6……………8:00am

U7-9……………9:15am

U10-13………..10:30am

 

By adjusting the game times, Akron Soccer aims to provide a more relaxed and enjoyable experience for everyone involved. The new schedule will allow for adequate breaks between games, giving referees time to reset and coaches a chance to prepare their teams fully. This change is expected to foster a better flow on game day, ultimately benefiting the players as they focus on enjoying the sport.

The league is committed to making House League a fun and engaging environment for young players, and these adjustments signify a step toward that goal. Parents and guardians are encouraged to stay updated on the changes and support their young athletes as they take the field with renewed enthusiasm.
